Prinsepla utilis Royale!? Had to look that ingredient up, part of a new cocktail Sanyou, with bars in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, will launch on World Baijiu Day.
Per several science journals, it is an oil-yielding shrub found 1000 meters and up in the Himalayan mountains and used in Chinese and Indian folk medicines.
See the recipe for that concoction — Baijiu Concerto — plus a second one featuring 10-year-old yellow wine and baijiu, in this video.
And kudos to Sanyou, a supporter for many years of World Baijiu Day, which marks its tenth anniversary on Friday.
Founded in 2015, World Baijiu Day is held each August 9, with events in over 60 cities so far. Follow WBD on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And get in touch via spirit (at) worldbaijiuday.com.
