Media Coverage | Baijiu, Pig’s Blood and Egg Whites in Baoding

I wrote here about my April trip to baijiu producer Yimuquan, in the city of Baoding, to learn more about their six-ton vats made from woven willow branches, paper, blood and egg whites. (Yimuquan was also a sponsor for this recent baijiu ice cream session in Beijing.)

I ended up writing an entire column about Yimuquan and those vats, known as “wine seas“, for the World Baijiu Day series in The Beijinger magazine. You can read below (click for larger image).

  1. Mate… Brooklyn Lager is not that good, I thought you were going to say a trip through the guinness brewery or something, not a shite exported beer from brooklyn made with tap water. But interesting article and well written!
