Tales of the Cocktail | The baijiu session

Jim Boyce | The recent Tales of the Cocktail festival, held in New Orleans this month, included a baijiu session titled Bai-Curious. Presenters Derek Sandhaus, Paul Mathew and Clay Risen provided attendees with the lowdown on China’s national spirit.

The session also included a trio of drinks. These included the Paper Crane by David Putney of Capital Spirits in Beijing, the Swatch House Sour by Justin Lane Briggs of Ba’sik in New York and the Bittersweet Boomerang by Paul Mathew of The Hide Bar, The Arbritrage and Demon, Wise & Partners in London.

Both Capital Spirits and Demon, Wise & Partners are participating in this year’s World Baijiu Day on August 9.
