Eat, drink and be merry with the founders of New Zealand baijiu brand Taizi on August 9.
Taizi founders and brothers Sam Lu and Ben Lu, part of World Baijiu Day since the event’s launch in 2015, will headline a night of telling stories, sipping baijiu and enjoying Chinese dishes. The event is being organized by the Canterbury branch of New Zealand China Trade Association and will be hosted by NZCTA executive committee members Michelle MacWilliam and Alistair Crozier.
Guests can hear the story of the founding and growth of Taizi, which just won two major awards at the New Zealand Spirits Awards, enjoy a guided tasting of the Lu’s baijiu and then pair those spirits with dishes served banquet-style. As there are only 40 tickets for this event (NZ$33 each), slated for 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Shanghai Street Dumpling, RSVP is essential. Get more details at the event listing here.
Founded in 2015, World Baijiu Day is held each August 9, with events in over 60 cities so far. Follow WBD on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And get in touch via spirit (at) worldbaijiuday.com.
