Countdown to World Baijiu Day 10

The tenth annual World Baijiu Day will be celebrated in just two weeks time in dozens of cities across the planet!

Founded in 2015 in Beijing by Jim Boyce, the event has the mission of getting more people to try baijiu, the world’s most-produced spirit but little-known outside of China.

The event is officially set for August 9, as the Chinese numbers for 8/9 are ba/jiu and sound close to baijiu.

Since 2015, venues in more than 60 cities have joined, from Lima, Los Angeles and London to Stockholm, Singapore and Sydney to Buenos Aires, Boston and Beijing.

And from the very start, World Baijiu Day has been open to exploring this spirit in new ways. That means baijiu-inspired cocktailsinfusions,  liqueurspizzabeerchocolate and flights.

Check out the 2024 listings to discover places where you can discover baijiu.
