R+D Cocktail Lab in Taipei has been part of World Baijiu Day since the start, creating enticing cocktails every year, like the Jasmine Sugarcane Sour in 2016 and the Prince Kaoliang in 2017.
This year’s menu will feature five cocktails, including the Kaoliang Plum-Shrub, which uses local brand Kaoliang as a base baijiu along with sour plum, brown rice vinegar and Kaoliang vinegar (see below).
Not only that, but World Baijiu Day will be extended!
“This year we decided to do a printout menu for the whole weekend,” says R+D’s Chris Kim!
I’ll post the menu as soon as it is out!
Founded in 2015, World Baijiu Day is held each August 9, with events in over 60 cities so far. Follow WBD on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And get in touch via spirit (at) worldbaijiuday.com.
