Look for baijiu brand Guotai to launch its products in at least a half-dozen U.S. states this fall. Sales manager Mauricio Garzon says distributors have been found in numerous regions but that he is ultimately looking to cover the entire country.
The official site says Guotai hails from Guizhou, is made with wheat and sorghum, and is “distilled seven times to produce a crisp, clear flavor”.
The packaging range is quite interesting, with container sizes spanning 375 millimeters to five liters, and alcohol levels from 18 percent to 43 percent.
Founded in 2015, World Baijiu Day is held each August 9, with events in over 60 cities so far. Follow WBD on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And get in touch via spirit (at) worldbaijiuday.com.
